Wi-Fi and network

Business Wi-Fi that reaches every corner and stays up.

We install Ubiquiti UniFi, business grade gear you buy once and own outright. No subscription to keep it running, and one app where you can see everything that's connected.

What's going on, and what we do about it

The most common cause of bad office Wi-Fi is a home router doing a business job. It sits in the front room, it reaches the front room, and every device in the building fights over it. Adding a second one from the store makes two networks that don't talk to each other.

We map the space, then put in a UniFi gateway, switches, and access points sized for your building and your head count. Staff, guests, cameras, and door readers each get their own network so a visitor on the guest Wi-Fi can never see your computers. Everything is labeled, documented, and visible from one app on your phone. You own all of it, and there's nothing to renew.

What's included and what isn't

Written down so there are no surprises on the quote.

What's included

  • A UniFi gateway, switches, and Wi-Fi access points sized for your space
  • A guest Wi-Fi that can't see your business computers
  • Separate guest Wi-Fi with a branded sign-in page, so visitors never touch your business network or card readers
  • Cameras and door readers kept on their own separate network
  • One app where you can see everything that's connected
  • Clean, labeled setup so the next person can make sense of it
  • Equipment owned by you, with no monthly subscription

Questions owners ask

Why UniFi instead of a mesh kit from the store?

Consumer mesh kits are built for houses. UniFi is built for offices, schools, and warehouses, with separate networks for guests and cameras, wired access points that don't drop, and one place to see every device. It costs more up front than a store kit and far less than brands that charge a subscription per device.

Do we pay a monthly fee for the network?

Not to the manufacturer. You own the gear. If you want us to keep it updated and watch it, that's part of the monthly care plan, and you can stop with 30 days notice.

Our building has brick walls and a back office that never gets signal. Can you fix that?

Yes. That is the normal case in older buildings around Newnan, Douglasville, and the rest of the metro. Wired access points placed where the walls are, not where the modem happens to be, fix it.

Can you run new cables?

Cabling is quoted separately when a run is needed and is listed on your quote. All camera and door wiring is performed under a Georgia low-voltage license.

Can the guest Wi-Fi see our computers?

No. Guest traffic is kept on its own network and can only reach the internet. That is also what cyber insurance applications mean when they ask whether guest Wi-Fi is segmented.

What if the internet itself goes down?

Backup internet adds a cellular connection that takes over automatically, from $450 plus hardware. We test the switch with you before we leave, and it covers the internet line, not an outage at a cloud service or card processor. See backup internet.

Who looks after the network after the install?

Either the monthly care plan or, if you don't need computer support, care for installed systems.

How long does an install take?

A small office is usually one scheduled visit after the quick look, booked during our scheduled work hours so it doesn't shut you down. Larger spaces are quoted with a date in writing before we start.
