Would your business pass a cyber insurance application?
Twelve questions, the same ones underwriters ask small businesses now. Answer honestly, see your score right away, and get the reasons and fixes for each gap by email.
The readiness questions
Why these questions
Cyber insurance applications have gotten much stricter. Carriers now commonly expect two-step login on email and remote access, managed security software on every computer, and backups that ransomware cannot reach, and they ask for proof.
Claims get denied when the answers on the application do not match what was really in place. Not sure is a fine answer here, but an insurer treats it as a no, so the score does too.
Questions owners ask
Is this insurance or legal advice?
No. It is a general guide based on what small business cyber applications ask. Your carrier's application is what counts.
What happens to the answers?
We use them to build your report. If you ask for the report by email, we send it and a few short follow ups over three weeks, then stop.
Can the gaps be fixed before a renewal?
Usually, if there are a few weeks. Cyber insurance readiness starts at $1,500 and covers the application question by question, the fixes, and a folder of proof. An office checkup is $350 if you want someone to look first.
