Insurance Ready Checkup

Leave with a one page security report card and your cyber insurance application answered.

One hour on site, then two things in writing. A report card that grades your computers, logins, Wi-Fi, email, backups, and cameras, and your insurance application answered from what is really in place. $350, credited in full once toward a fixed-price project or care plan onboarding signed within 30 days.

What's going on, and what we do about it

Something feels off, but nobody can say what. The Wi-Fi drops, the backup might be running, the old office manager had the email password, and the insurance renewal is asking questions nobody can answer with confidence. The checkup turns that into two pages you can act on.

We spend one hour on site looking at the computers, the Wi-Fi, the email setup, the backups, and the cameras if you have them. Then you get a one page security report card, with each area graded, what matters first, and what each fix would cost from our published prices. You also get your cyber insurance application answered question by question from what we saw. No sales pitch, and no obligation. If you sign a fixed-price project or start care plan onboarding within 30 days, the full $350 comes off that price once. See a sample report card made with fictional data.

The answers describe things as they stand on the day. Where the honest answer today is no, the report card says what would change it. Fixing those gaps before renewal and keeping a folder of proof is our cyber insurance readiness project. Coverage and price always come from your agent.

What's included and what isn't

Written down so there are no surprises on the quote.

What's included

  • One hour on site, looking at your computers, Wi-Fi, email, backups, and cameras
  • A one page security report card, each area graded, most important fix first, with a price next to each
  • Your cyber insurance application or renewal questionnaire answered question by question from what is really in place
  • We check whether any of your business email addresses have shown up in known password leaks and show you the list.
  • Windows and Office versions checked against Microsoft support dates
  • Who owns the domain, the email admin, and the network logins, and when they renew
  • The full $350 credited once toward your first fixed-price project or care plan onboarding, if you sign within 30 days

What it's not

  • Insurance advice, a policy, or a promise about premiums. Your agent handles coverage and price.
  • Fixing the gaps or building a folder of proof, which is the cyber insurance readiness project
  • A long report full of jargon
  • A sales pitch for things you don't need
  • Any work done without a written quote first

What it costs

Prices are published so you know roughly what something costs before you spend a minute on the phone. Every project still gets a fixed quote in writing before we start.

How it works

Simple on purpose. You always know what's next and what it costs.

  1. A 15-minute call

Tell us what's going on. We'll tell you honestly if we're a fit.

  2. A quick look

A short visit or a remote session so we see your setup for real.

  3. A fixed price in writing

What we'll do, what it costs, and when. The price doesn't move.

  4. Scheduled work

We book a time that doesn't shut your business down, then get it done. Reply times and support hours are on the service levels page.

Questions owners ask

What do you look at?

Every computer, how people log in, the Wi-Fi and the gear behind it, how email is set up and whether two-step login is on, where the backups go and when they were last tested, and the cameras and doors if you have them. We also check whether any of your business email addresses have shown up in known password leaks and show you the list.

What should we have ready?

Ask your agent for this year's cyber insurance application or renewal questionnaire before the visit. If it is not ready yet, we answer the questions carriers commonly ask about two-step login, backups, email filtering, security software, staff training, and former staff, and those answers carry over when the application arrives.

Is this insurance advice?

No. We answer the technical questions from what we saw. Your agent handles coverage, carriers, and price, and you review every answer before it goes anywhere.

How is this different from cyber insurance readiness?

The checkup tells you where you stand and answers the application as things are today. Cyber insurance readiness, from $1,500, fixes the gaps before renewal and keeps a folder of proof that each yes is true.

Do we keep the report card even if we don't hire you?

Yes. The report card and the answered application are yours either way. You can use them to fix a few things yourself.

How is this different from the free self-check?

The self-check is ten yes or no questions you answer in your browser. The checkup is us in your office, looking at what is really there, which is often different from what everyone assumed.

Can it be done remotely?

Wi-Fi and cameras need eyes on the building, so the checkup is on site. Email and backups can be checked remotely if that is all you need, and we will say so on the call.

When can you come?

The checkup is booked on a weekday, a weekday evening, or a Saturday, at a time that doesn't interrupt your day.

What does the $350 credit apply to?

The full $350 comes off once, from the first fixed-price project or care plan onboarding you sign within 30 days of the checkup. It does not apply to hourly work or monthly fees.
