Computers and help
Computer support for small businesses, with the same people every time.
Your computers set up properly, kept updated, and backed by people you know when something breaks. No more asking your nephew or the most tech-savvy employee.
What's going on, and what we do about it
Most small offices run on four to fifteen computers that nobody really owns. They were bought at different times, set up by whoever was free that day, and share a password written on a sticky note. They work until the day they don't, and that day is usually a Monday.
We fix the basics in a way that lasts. Every person gets their own login and a password manager. Security software and updates run on their own. New hires are set up before they start and former staff are shut off the same day. When something acts up, you text or email the people who already know your setup, and it gets handled during our support hours.
What's included and what isn't
Written down so there are no surprises on the quote.

- A password manager for everyone

- Remote help during our stated support hours
- Setting people up when they start and shutting accounts off when they leave, see new hires and departures

Questions owners ask
What does the monthly care plan actually cover?
Remote help as often as you need it during support hours, updates and security software on every computer, Microsoft 365 changes and password resets, new hire setup and same day shutoff, a password manager for everyone, backups checked monthly with a test restore every quarter, Wi-Fi and network kept updated, on-site visits when something can't be fixed remotely, one staff training session a year, help with your insurance renewal questions, a shared document of your equipment, accounts, vendors, and renewal dates that is handed over if care ever ends, and a yearly planning review of equipment age, licenses, renewals, and a replacement budget. The full list is on the pricing page.
Is there a contract?
No long contract is required. The care plan is month to month and you can cancel with 30 days notice, or save $10 per person a month on a 12 month agreement. Projects are one-time work with a fixed price in writing.
Do you fix broken computers?
We handle the software side, which is most problems. For a cracked screen or a dead hard drive we arrange warranty or repair service and work out with you how the person keeps working in the meantime.
Do we have to be on the plan to get help?
No. One-off help is $150 an hour, quoted first. A project or the $350 office checkup is a natural first step, with the plan decided after.
What are your support hours?
Business hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 6 pm, for calls, texts, email, and remote help, with messages answered the same business day. Scheduled on-site work can also be booked for weekday evenings until 8 pm and Saturdays at our normal prices. Standard requests start the next business day. A locked-out user, a down internet connection, or a suspected security incident gets same day attention when it comes in before 3 pm on a business day. Unplanned work outside business hours is $200 an hour with a 2 hour minimum.
Is security software included, or extra?
On the monthly care plan we keep Microsoft Defender Antivirus, which is built into Windows, turned on and up to date, so there is no extra license for it. Microsoft Defender for Business is a separate licensed product that comes with Microsoft 365 Business Premium, and we manage it when you have that license. Care plus security adds round the clock monitored threat detection from a third-party security operations service, with its license included in the $165, and it is not yet open for sign-ups. Your own software, like Microsoft 365 and industry programs, is bought at cost.
Can you work with Macs and PCs?
Yes. Most small offices run Windows, and plenty of owners carry a Mac. We set up and look after both.
What if we grow, or we are already bigger?
Larger teams and several locations are welcome. Before we quote monthly care we review your people, computers, servers, locations, and how much on-site help you need, so the coverage is right. Support runs during our stated weekday hours with no 24 hour help desk. If you need round-the-clock coverage, we will say so and point you to a firm that offers it.
