Website hosting and care

Your website kept up, backed up, and changed when you ask.

A website is not finished on launch day. Hours change, services change, and the technology underneath needs looking after. We host it, watch it, back it up, and make the small changes when you send them.

The problem, and what we do about it

Many small business sites slowly fall behind. The security certificate lapses, a form quietly stops sending, the hours are wrong, and the person who built it has moved on. Nobody notices until a customer mentions it.

Hosting and care keeps it current. We host the site, renew its security certificate, check every day that it is up and that the forms still reach you, keep backups, apply updates, and make small text and photo changes when you email them. Once a month you get a short note on visits and form submissions.

Who it's for

Honest on purpose, so nobody wastes a call.

A good fit

  • Businesses whose site we built
  • Owners with an existing site nobody looks after, after a short review of how it is built
  • Businesses on our monthly IT care plan who want one provider for both

Not a fit

  • Sites that need daily content changes or a full time web team
  • Large online stores with high traffic

What you get

Written down so there are no surprises on the quote.

What's included

  • Hosting with a security certificate kept current
  • Daily uptime and form checks, with fixes when something breaks
  • Backups we can restore from
  • Updates applied and tested
  • Small text, photo, price, and hours changes, up to an hour a month
  • A short monthly note with visits and form submissions
  • Your Google profile hours and links kept in step with the site when you tell us about a change

What it's not

  • New pages or new features, quoted as a project
  • Changes beyond an hour a month, which are $150 an hour, quoted first
  • Domain registration, which stays in your name at the registrar's price
  • Email hosting, which is part of business email and accounts

What it costs

Published prices are starting points for the scope listed. You get a fixed price in writing before any work starts, and platform or license fees are listed as separate lines.

What it depends on

  • Access to your domain's DNS settings, or the person who controls them
  • For a site someone else built, a short review of how it is built and whether it is worth keeping

Next step

Book a 15-minute call and send the address of your current site.

How it works

Simple on purpose. You always know what's next and what it costs.

  1. A 15-minute call

What the site or tool needs to do, who uses it, and what you have today.

  2. A written scope and fixed price

Pages or screens, features, who writes the words, launch date, and the price. The price does not move.

  3. Design and build

You see the work as it comes together and approve each step before we move on.

  4. Launch and handover

Domain, forms, and search settings checked on launch day. You own the domain, the content, and the code. Hosting and care are optional.

Questions owners ask

Do you host sites you did not build?

Often, after a short review of how the site is built. If it is in rough shape, we say so plainly and tell you whether care or a redesign is the better spend.

How do we ask for a change?

Email us. Small changes are usually done within a few business days. Larger ones get a fixed price first.

What does the care plan discount mean?

Businesses on our monthly IT care plan pay $50 a month instead of $75 for website hosting and care. Everything else is the same.

Can we leave?

Yes, with 30 days notice. We hand over the site files and help move it to wherever you choose.

What happens if the site goes down?

Our daily checks catch it and we fix it during business hours. Reply times and support hours are on the service levels page.
