Security alongside your IT provider
Already have an IT person? We can cover the security side.
Plenty of small businesses have someone who keeps the computers running but nobody who owns security. We work alongside them, put in writing who does what, and leave the rest of your setup alone.
The problem, and what we do about it
Your IT person or company handles printers, new laptops, and the things that break. Then the insurance renewal asks about monitored security software, email filtering, tested backups, and staff training, and it is not clear whose job any of that is. Usually the honest answer is nobody's.
We start by asking what your provider already does. Then we write a simple split of responsibilities for computer security software, email security, backups, staff training, monitoring, and fixing what is found. Setup work is a project with a fixed price. Ongoing security work, if you want it, is quoted separately and priced month to month.
Who it's for
Honest on purpose, so nobody wastes a call.
A good fit
- Businesses with an in-house IT person or an outside IT company they want to keep
- Owners whose insurer, bank, or customer is asking security questions nobody is answering
- IT providers who want help with security or a second set of eyes
Not a fit
- Businesses with no IT help at all, where the monthly care plan fits better
- Anyone hoping we quietly replace their current provider
What you get
Written down so there are no surprises on the quote.
What's included
- A review of what is in place today, with your provider in the conversation
- A written split of who handles computer security software, email security, backups, training, monitoring, and fixes
- A prioritized list of gaps with a name next to each one
- Setup work we agree to take on, as a fixed-price project
- Ongoing security services if you want them, quoted separately from the setup
- A short written summary you can hand to your insurer or a customer
What it's not
- Taking over day to day IT from your provider unless you ask
- Changing anything your provider manages without their agreement
- Tools we have not confirmed we can supply for your setup. We confirm what we can deliver before you sign
- Legal advice or a certification
What it costs
New services are quoted after a short review, so the price fits your setup instead of a guess. You get a fixed price in writing before any work starts.
| What | Price |
|---|---|
| Review and written split of responsibilities | Quoted after a short review |
| Project work to close gaps | Fixed price in writing before work starts |
| Ongoing security services | Quoted after the review |
| Security tool subscriptions | Listed on the quote |
See the price for this on the pricing page
The quote says exactly what the starting price covers. Security tool subscriptions are listed as separate lines, and your current provider's fees stay between you and them.
What it depends on
- Admin access for the systems in scope, approved by the owner in writing
- Your current provider's cooperation on the written split
- Confirming that the tools we would use work with your systems before we commit to them
Next step
Book a 15-minute call. If you can, invite your current IT person or company to join it.
How it works
Simple on purpose. You always know what's next and what it costs.
A 15-minute call
Tell us what's going on. We'll tell you honestly if we're a fit.
A quick look
A short visit or a remote session so we see your setup for real.
A fixed price in writing
What we'll do, what it costs, and when. The price doesn't move.
Scheduled work
We book a time that doesn't shut your business down, then get it done. Reply times and support hours are on the service levels page.
Questions owners ask
Will this upset our current IT provider?
It doesn't have to. We start by asking what they already do, and the split goes in writing so nobody duplicates work or assumes the other side has it covered.
Who fixes the problems you find?
Whoever the written split names. Some fixes sit naturally with your provider and some with us. Every item has a name next to it.
Can you watch our computers around the clock?
Round the clock monitoring of computers comes from a third-party security operations service, not from our own staff overnight. It is part of Care plus security, which is not yet open for sign-ups, so for now the quote covers business hours work and we tell you when the monitored tier opens. Our own help desk works business hours.
Is this a monthly plan or a project?
Both are possible and they are priced separately. The review and setup are a project. Ongoing work, like watching backups or running training, is a monthly service with its terms on the quote.
What does it cost?
It depends on how many people and computers you have and what your provider already covers, so we quote it after a short review. Nothing starts without a written price.
